Dropbox: Will MCommunity Subgroups Sync When Sharing Files/Folders?

Environment

U-M Dropbox, MCommunity groups

Issue

I shared a file/folder with an MCommunity group in U-M Dropbox. Will the subgroups of the MCommunity group be able to access the file/folder as well?

Resolution

Subgroups will not be able to access the file/folder that was shared with the parent MCommunity group. (Subgroups in MCommunity groups do not sync to U-M Dropbox.)

If needed, the file/folder can be shared with the subgroup separately. For instructions on how to share files/folders in U-M Dropbox, refer to Article ID: 6403.
