Dropbox: Sharing Files / Folders With Large MCommunity Groups

Environment

U-M Dropbox

Issue

When sharing a file/folder with an MCommunity group in U-M Dropbox, the group does not appear in the drop-down menu when typing the email address in the sharing dialog box.

Resolution

  • MCommunity groups larger than 1000 members will not sync to U-M Dropbox
  • Do not choose an MCommunity group with more than 1000 members as the owner of your Team Folder or shared folder in an individual Dropbox account
