MiVideo: Unpublish Media or Change Publishing Status

Issue

Change the publishing status and/or unpublish media to no longer be accessible to viewers.

Resolution

Notes

• You must be the media owner or co-publisher to change the publishing status, see the Collaboration and Roles article.
• Media can also be unpublished directly from a channel by a channel manager, see the Remove Media from a Channel article.

Canvas

1. Navigate to Account > My Media > click the pencil icon next to the media > Publish tab, or from the Media page click Actions > Publish.
2. Change the Publishing Status or uncheck any courses to unpublish the media entry from that course. See the Publish Media article for more information about publishing statuses.
3. Click Save.

Mediaspace

1. Navigate to the user drop-down menu > My Media > click the pencil icon next to the media > Publish tab,  or from the Media page, click Actions > Publish.
2. Change the Publishing Status or uncheck any Categories/Galleries or Channels to unpublish the media entry from that location. See the Publish Media article for more information about publishing statuses.
3. Click Save.
