Assign a Delegate to Schedule Zoom Meetings for You (Zoom Scheduling Privileges)

Environment

U-M Zoom

Issue

How can I assign someone as a delegate to schedule Zoom meetings for me?

Resolution

In Zoom, it's possible to assign one or more users as delegates to schedule meetings on your behalf. Users you have assigned to schedule meetings on your behalf will also be able to manage and act as alternate hosts for meetings.

  1. Go to zoom.umich.edu and click Sign in.
  2. Click Settings in the left navigation.
  3. Under the default Meeting tab...
    • If you have a second menu on the left-side, click the Other option
    • Otherwise, scroll to the bottom of the page until you see the Other section
  4. Under Schedule Privilege, click Add next to 'Assign scheduling privilege to'
  5. Enter one @umich.edu email address in the field provided.
    • If you need to add more than one, click Add and enter their @umich.edu email address in the field. Repeat this for every delegate you want to add.
  6. Check the Can manage my private events box if desired.
  7. Click Save.
