What are the different ways I can setup a poll or survey for my course?

How do you want to present the poll or survey?

• A survey using classic quizzes in Canvas
  • Surveys can be graded or ungraded
  • Graded surveys appear in the Syllabus, Gradebook, Calendar, and To Do Lists 
  • Can require students use an access code to take the quiz
  • Ungraded  surveys can be set to Keep Submissions Anonymous when the survey is first created
  • The type of survey can be changed (graded/ungraded).  However, changing this after students have taken the survey can cause unintended consequences.

• A survey using new quizzes in Canvas

  • IVQs can be published to the Canvas course Media Gallery or embedded into Canvas course content

• Video Quiz with Annoto 
  • Annoto can be enabled on MiVideo videos

  • When the video is embedded in a Canvas assignment, grades can be sent to Canvas Gradebook

  • An LTI tool integrated with Canvas
  • Only available for courses in the SPH account
