Zoom: Failed to Schedule Meeting/Shared Access Permissions in Google Calendar

Environment

U-M Zoom, Zoom for Google Workspace add-on

Issue

I cannot schedule on behalf of those for whom I have scheduling privileges in the "Zoom for Google Workspace" add-on in Google Calendar. I receive an error that states that "Shared Access Permissions" are not enabled.

Resolution

You likely received the following instructions:

Click here to visit Zoom Marketplace and enable "Allow this app to use my shared access permissions"for the Google Workspace app from the Shared Access Permissions column.
After enabling, remove this item by clicking "✕" and try again

You should be able to follow the instructions presented in the error to resolve the issue. If completing the instructions does not resolve the error, please do the following:

  1. Open the Zoom for Google Workspace add-on (Zoom icon) from the right-side panel in Google Calendar
  2. Click the three vertical dots icon in the right corner of the side panel and select Sign out
  3. Click Sign in
  4. A pop-up will likely appear to reauthorize the app. Check the "Allow this App to access my shared permissions" box
  5. Complete the reauthorization process and attempt to schedule again

Note: You will also receive a confirmation email when you have reauthorized the add-on.
