Adding Non-UMICH Email Addresses as Guests to a U-M Slack Channel

U-M Slack

How do I add a guest to a U-M Slack channel using a non-UMICH email address?

Anyone who is not eligible to be a U-M Slack member may be added as a guest to a single channel. Single-channel guests must be added with email addresses (even if they have an email, such as alumni and retirees). Multi-channel guests are currently unavailable.

Follow the directions as detailed in the Slack Help Center:

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to Invite as "Guest" not "Member".
