Issue
How do I update the Zoom app on my computer or mobile device to a new version?
Resolution
- If you are using a MiWorkspace device: open the Software Center (Windows/PC) or Managed Software Center (Mac) and follow the steps to update the Zoom application described in the linked documentation.
- If you are using a HITS managed device (CoreImage):
- PC users: your device will be updated for you by HITS
- No further action is needed
- Mac users: follow the steps described in this Zoom support article
- Contact HITS with any questions
- If you are using a device that is managed by another department (other than MiWorkspace or HITS): you may be able to update the app yourself using the steps below for personal computers and mobile devices
- If you are unable to follow these steps, contact the department that manages your device
- If you are using a personal computer or a mobile device (iOS or Android): follow the steps described in this Zoom support article

"Auto-update disabled, contact administrator" message
If you are trying to update Zoom using the method described in the Zoom support article, you may get a notice that auto-update has been disabled and to contact your administrator. If this happens, follow the below instructions applicable to your situation:
- MiWorkspace device: uninstall Zoom from your device and reinstall it from the Software Center (Windows/PC) or Managed Software Center (Mac)
- LSA-managed device: uninstall Zoom from your device and reinstall it from the Software Center (Windows/PC) or Managed Software Center (Mac)
- HITS-managed device: HITS will update your device for you and no action is needed from you. Contact HITS if you have further questions or concerns
- All others: contact the department that manages your device and ask them to help you update the Zoom app on your device
Zoom Web App
Users who connect to Zoom only through a web browser do not need to update Zoom; web apps are always up to date.
