Issue
How do I update the Zoom app to a new version on my computer or mobile device?
Resolution
If you are using a:
- MiWorkspace-managed device: Open the Software Center (Windows) or Managed Software Center (Mac) and follow the steps to update the Zoom app described in the linked documentation.
- HITS-managed device (CoreImage):
- Windows users: Your device will be updated for you by HITS. No further action is needed.
- Mac users: Refer to the steps described in the following Zoom Support article. Contact HITS with any questions.
- Device managed by another department (other than MiWorkspace or HITS): You may be able to update the app using the steps described in the following Zoom Support article. If you cannot follow these steps, contact the department that manages your device.
- Personal computer or mobile device (iOS or Android): Refer to the steps described in the following Zoom Support article.
Additional Information
"Auto-update disabled, contact administrator" message:
If you are trying to update Zoom using the method described in the Zoom Support article, you may get a notice that auto-update has been disabled and to contact your administrator. If this happens, follow the steps below applicable to your situation:
- MiWorkspace-managed device: Uninstall Zoom from your device and reinstall it from the Software Center (Windows) or Managed Software Center (Mac).
- LSA-managed device: Uninstall Zoom from your device and reinstall it from the Software Center (Windows/PC) or Managed Software Center (Mac).
- HITS-managed device: HITS will update your device for you; no action is needed. Contact HITS if you have further questions or concerns.
- All others: Contact the department that manages your device and ask them to help you update the Zoom app on your device.
