How do I delete my Google Shared Account?

Resolution

You can submit a self-service request to delete your Shared Account using the ITS Shared Account Manager tool:

  1. Speak with the other Shared Account owners to ensure only one of you completes the process. This will also ensure that everyone is aware of the account deletion.
    • You must be a faculty or regular staff member and an owner in the associated MCommunity group to request the account's deletion.
  2. Go to the ITS Shared Account Manager tool.
  3. Find your Shared Account from the list under "Google Shared Accounts You Own" and click Edit/Renew beside it.
  4. Click Submit Deletion Request under the "Delete Shared Account" section.
  5. Select whether you'd like to keep the associated MCommunity group active after its Shared Account is deleted.
    • If yes, select Yes, keep the MCommunity group active.
    • If no, select No, delete the MCommunity group.
  6. Enter Delete in the field provided to confirm.
    • This word is case-sensitive, so enter it exactly as displayed.
  7. Click Submit Deletion Request.

Your deletion request has been submitted and cannot be undone. It will be processed as soon as possible. You will receive an email confirmation when it is completed.
