Issue

How do I request a U-M Google Shared Account for my department, group, team, or unit?

Resolution

Shared Accounts can only be created, managed, and owned by faculty or regular staff members.

  1. Review Shared Accounts in U-M Google for important information regarding their management.
  2. If you still want or need a Shared Account, click the Request a Shared Account button in the documentation linked above.
    • Once the request is submitted, it takes roughly 24 business hours for it to be processed.
    • Once the account is created, you will receive an email stating that the account is ready, including the login information and details on how to manage it moving forward.
