Issue
How to clear the cache and cookies in the Safari browser in iOS (iPhone and iPad)
Resolution
- Navigate to Settings
- Scroll down and tap on Safari (If on iOS 18, select Apps first)
- Tap Clear History and Website Data
- Close out of the Safari browser and re-launch if necessary
Additional Information
Depending on the settings you choose to clear, after you clear cache and cookies:
- Some settings on sites will be deleted
- For example, if you were signed in, you’ll need to sign in again, so make sure you know your login information
- Sites can load slowly because content needs to load again
- You can lose your browsing history
