Microsoft Edge Browser, Mac or Windows
Issue
Clearing potentially corrupted cache, cookies, or other temporary Internet files from the Microsoft Edge browser.
Resolution
- On your computer, open Edge.
- Note: If you already have multiple Edge windows or tabs open, close all but one.
- At the top right, click the three horizontal dots.
- Click Settings then Privacy, search, and services.
- Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
- Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
- Under Time range, set time range to All time.
- Click Clear now.
NOTE: It can take a few minutes to clear the cache depending on how long it has been accumulating.
- Quit Edge
- Restart your Computer
Clear Cookies from a Specific Site
To delete cookies from only one website, use the following instructions:
- Open Edge browser, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
- Select Cookies, then click See all cookies and site data and search for the site whose cookies you want to delete.
- Select the down arrow to the right of the site whose cookies you want to delete and select Delete .
Cookies for the site you selected are now deleted. Repeat this step for any site whose cookies you want to delete.
Additional Information
Note: Depending on the settings you choose to clear, after you clear cache and cookies:
- Some settings on sites will be deleted.
- For example, if you were signed in, you’ll need to sign in again, so make sure you know your login information.
- Sites can load slowly because content needs to load again.
- You can lose your browsing history.
