Issue

Can I reorder captions for my media? 

Resolution

Yes, captions can be reordered for media in English and non-English source languages, see Order Captions for Media in Canvas or Mediaspace.

Note: The captions file with the highest accuracy will be enabled by default in the player. All other captions files will be disabled in the player. See Disable or Enable Captions In Media Player to select which captions are shown in the player.

Some reasons for ordering new captions:

• The original captions file was deleted.
• Media was edited but the automatic edits to the corresponding captions don't match these changes.
• The majority of the video is spoken in a language other than English and the auto machine English captions don’t make much sense.
• The original captions were generated years ago with older ASR technology.
