Groups & Lists

CAEN moderates the Michigan Engineering email lists to satisfy the need for the University community to reach faculty and staff. Engineering departments may also request similar lists to be used with CAEN’s moderated email service.

MCommunity

MCommunity is a public listing of individuals and groups at U-M. All current members of the U-M community have profiles in MCommunity including faculty, staff, students, retirees, alumni, and sponsored affiliates. Anyone who has a profile in MCommunity can also create email groups.

Phishing

Phishing emails continually target the U-M community, including students, faculty and staff at Michigan Engineering. Criminals use malicious email messages to try to trick you into revealing your password or other sensitive information.

Working with U-M Gmail, Virtru offers a number of security features and options to encrypt your email, and control access to the messages you send.
