Why does Windows say I have terabytes (TB) of storage in my Windows Home Directory?

Each Windows Home Directory provides a per-user quota of 50 GB. These quotas are enforced by the file server.

Unfortunately, Windows computers are not capable of querying these types of individual quota restrictions, and instead display the total size of the volume on the server where the home directories are stored.
