Issue
My name is incorrect in U-M Dropbox. How can I correct it?
Resolution
Your name in U-M Dropbox is set to the name displayed on your MCommunity profile when you first log in to U-M Dropbox. The name will not update automatically after legal name changes nor after setting a Preferred Name. In these situations, you will need to manually change your name in U-M Dropbox per the instructions below:
- Log in at https://dropbox.umich.edu/
- Click on the account icon in the top-right corner of the page (i.e., the circle with your initials or picture).
- Select "Settings" from the menu that appears.
- Select "Edit" directly to the right of your name.
- Change your name as needed and click the "Change name" button.
