U-M VPN (Cisco AnyConnect Mobility Client)
Issue
Am I eligible for a U-M VPN? Who has access to U-M VPN?
Resolution
If you have at least one of the following affiliations, you are eligible for a U-M VPN for as long as you hold that affiliation:
- Student (from matriculation to either graduation or end of student status)
- Faculty (including emeritus faculty, lecturers, and intermittent lecturers)
- Staff (including temporary staff)
- Sponsored affiliate with a regular uniqname (e.g., Incoming Faculty/Staff, Contractors, Academic Affiliates, and Other University Affiliates)
Not Eligible
The following affiliations are not eligible for a U-M VPN (as long as you do not have any of the roles from the previous list):
- U-M Friend accounts
- Alumni
- Retirees
- Sponsored affiliate with a temporary uniqname (e.g., Short-Term Guests and Long-Term Guests)
