Creating or Modifying a TeamDynamix Dashboard

Environment

TeamDynamix 

Issue

Users may want to set up their own dashboard with information they want to see.

Resolution

Create a new dashboard

  1. TeamDynamix.umich.edu
  2. Open TDNext (Users)
    1. (If you're in the TeamDynamix Client Portal, click your name in the upper-right corner and choose TDNext.)
  3. Click the Dashboard tab in the far-left (the house)
  4. In the gray menu bar, click +New Dashboard
  5. Give your dashboard a name
  6. Click Save
  7. On the Content page that opens, select the layout for the first row.
  8. Choose the widgets for each section. 
  9. Add rows and widgets as needed.
  10. When finished, click Save
  11. Select your new dashboard in the drop-down menu from the dashboard/home tab.

(Refresh your browser if you don't see the new dashboard in the drop-down menu.)

Modify an existing dashboard

  1. Open TDNext (Users)
    1. (If you're in the TeamDynamix Client Portal, click your name in the upper-right corner and choose TDNext.)
  2. Click the Dashboard tab (house) in the far left
  3. Using the drop-down list, select the dashboard you want to modify 
  4. Select Edit Dashboard
  5. If you want to change column layout, click the layout option for the row you want to modify. Select the new layout and Save. You can add rows with different layouts too. 
  6. If you want to modify the reports, remove widgets you no longer need and click a + sign in the row you want to modify and the Choose Widget pop-up appears for you to select new content.
    If the report you need doesn't exist, use this Article: Creating a Ticket or Knowledge Report to make the report, then add it to your dashboard using these steps
  7. When finished, click Save.
  8. In TDNext, select your new desktop in the drop-down menu in the home tab.

* If the report doesn't exist yet, you can copy a report on the dashboard by clicking the info button (i), then Edit, Copy. You can also copy any report by clicking Reports, selecting your report from the left hand navigation in the tickets application, then Actions, Copy. Modify the report to meet your needs, save it, then you can add it to your dashboard.
