Issue
Participants cannot share their screen in a meeting
Resolution
As a host, you can change this for a meeting that is currently in progress or apply a general setting for any meeting you host (the latter will not affect an in-progress meeting).
In Meeting:
- Select the ^ next to the green "Share Screen" button on your meeting control panel.
- Select "Advanced Options"
- Change "Who can share?" to "All Participants" and close the window.
Outside of meetings for general account settings:
- Go to https://umich.zoom.us/profile/setting
- Scroll down to the Screen sharing section
- Screen sharing should be toggled on
- Under "Who Can Share", choose "All Participants"
- Note: This process will not change any in-progress meetings, but will take effect for any meeting after the setting is adjusted.
Additional Information
By default, only the meeting host can share.
Make sure to update the option to allow for participants to share their screen to allow multiple people to share.
