Off boarding from U-M? Learn about which standard computing services and accounts you will retain and which you will lose. Our comprehensive knowledge base article provides all the information you need to know as you transition out of U-M. Stay informed and ensure a smooth departure with our helpful guide.

Resolution

We understand that your affiliation with U-M may come to an end at some point, and we want to ensure you are aware of the potential impact on your access to U-M services. Depending on your status, you may be able to keep some services, while others may be deprovisioned immediately or after a grace period. For a comprehensive list of affected services and timelines, please refer to Leaving U-M.

In preparation for your departure, we highly recommend reviewing your files and folders in U-M storage services such as Google Drive, Microsoft 365, and Dropbox. It's important to reassign ownership of any files or folders containing university data, whether sensitive or non-sensitive, to another individual at the university or move them to a shared folder, drive, Team Folder, or other appropriate location. This will help ensure the security of university data and prevent any disruptions to ongoing projects or collaborations.
