Issue

When exactly does a student lose access to some Standard Computing Services after leaving U-M?

Resolution

The exact timing when students lose access to these services depends on when the student's U-M affiliation changes. The timing of this change is different for each school or college. For specific information on when the student affiliation will change, contact your school or college’s registrar.

The timing of this change is different every semester, but generally, April grads lose access the first week of June, August grads lose access the first week of September, and December grads lose access in early January.

Specific information can be found here: ITS Information for Graduating Students.

Note: U-M Google offboarding for graduating students changed in Winter 2023. For more information on the exact timelines, refer to Google: Accounts for People Who Leave U-M.

Additional Information

If the student leaves without completing at least one semester/term, they follow a different offboarding process for non-affiliated accounts.
