Issue
An overview of the guidelines and requirements that images must adhere to before being published to the Community Content Feed.
Resolution
The purpose of the Community Content Feed is to foster communication between University of Michigan colleges, departments, organizations, and services.
Content submitted for Content Feed approval must meet the following criteria:
- Follow Brand policy for U-M logos
- Clearly states the full name of the sponsoring department or unit
- The organization submitting the content is considered the sponsoring unit (even if an event has multiple sponsors or contributors)
- The department or unit name must be spelled out in its entirety (no acronyms)
- Clearly states the contact information for the sponsoring unit or department
- Acceptable: website, phone, email, or physical address
- Social Media or QR codes do not count as contact information but can be included in the advertisement
- The letters must be at least 75 pixels tall (actual height will vary by display)
- Do not use any of these characters in the filename: []{},&%`~;^#/|?().,'"@*=
- an underscore _ or dash - is fine.
- Follows the basic construction guidelines
- .jpg or .png format (PDFs are not acceptable)
- Minimum of 72 ppi (pixels per inch)
- Images should be 3840 x 2160 (landscape) or 2160 x 3840 (portrait)
