U-M Slack, Workflow Builder
Issue
Can I add a workflow to my U-M Slack workspace or channel? Is Workflow Builder available?
Resolution
- Workflows are supported for U-M Slack. At this time, only Workspace Admins can use Workflow Builder to create workflows in their Slack workspaces or channels.
- If you want to create a workflow for your workspace and cannot, you need to reach out to a Workspace Admin and ask them to make you a Workspace Admin.
- Refer to the Slack Help Center: Guide to Slack Workflow Builder for instructions and more information.
- Any third-party app added to a workflow is automatically approved despite the need to "request" it. As a reminder, while third-party apps are available to add to workflows and Slack in general, ITS does not provide technical support for third-party apps or the third-party services with which they integrate. Additional Information
Legacy workflows were migrated to the new Workflow Builder environment in March 2024. Legacy can no longer be created in U-M Slack.
