Document Imaging; Chrome
Issue
Users receive an error like one of the following when attempting to log into Document Imaging from Wolverine Access:
- HTTP Status 400 - Bad Request error
- Login Error Unable to login. Contact your administrator. (Unauthorized).
Resolution
There are two possible resolutions for this problem: deleting cookies for Document Imaging and clearing the cache for Document Imaging.
The following instructions are for a Chrome web browser.
Delete cookies for Document Imaging
- Click the three dots lined up vertically in the top right corner of your Chrome browser window
- Select Settings
- Under Privacy and Security select "Third-party cookies"
- In the bottom half of the list of settings that appears, select "See all site data and permissions"
- In the search field that says "Search cookies," type imaging
- You should see the list reduced to only a few options
- The Hyland logo (H in a green box) will appear next to the items
- Select "Remove All Shown" to delete only the cookies for Document Imaging
This will clear the cookies stored for Document Imaging. Go back and attempt to log-in again and the error should not occur.
Clear Cache for Document Imaging
- Click the three dots lined up vertically in the top right corner of your browser window.
- Click Settings
- Click Privacy and Security
- Click Site Settings
- Click View permissions and data stored across sites
- In the Search area, enter “umich.edu”
- Locate the option "imaging-prod-web.dsc.umich.edu" in the list and click the Delete icon next to that option.
- A popup appears asking you to confirm
- Click Clear
- Close all open browser windows/tabs
This will clear the cache stored for Document Imaging. Go back and attempt to log-in again and the error should not occur.
