How do I view changes in the TeamDynamix change calendar?

Resolution

The Ticket Calendar in TeamDynamix enables users to view all scheduled changes, maintenance activities, and blackout dates.

  1. Log into TeamDynamix.umich.edu
  2. Select Users
  3. Select your ticketing application by clicking on the tab (ITS Tickets, for example)
  4. In the left hand navigation, under Standard Reports, select Ticket Calendar
  5. Click the green funnel in the upper right corner to adjust your view 
    1. Show both tickets and maintenance activities. 
    2. Show only tickets.
    3. Show only maintenance activities.
    4. Show Tickets by classification (Problem, Change, etc)

Understanding the Calendar

The Ticket Calendar is color-coded to help provide an at-a-glance look at what events are scheduled.

Blue - Change Records

Change records inherit dates from maintenance activites and appends other change task dates to the start and due date range. Change records do not show the time of day. The specific timing of the change is listed in the maintenance actiity. 

Black - Blackout Days

Blackout days are defined at an administrative level.

Red - Maintenance Activities

You can click on the record in the ticket calendar to view details about the maintenance activity. 

The Ticket Calendar can be viewed in multiple ways, depending on your needs. There are icons in the upper right to adjust the calendar view. Use the Previous/Next arrows (upper left) to view different time spans.

Creating an Event on the Ticket Calendar

  • In order to get a change on the ticket calendar, create the change record and add a maintenance activity with start and due dates and times.  
  • In order to have a maintenance window added to the calendar, submit a permanent exception request. Maintenance windows are associated with services in TeamDynamix.
  • Even when there is a maintenance window identified, a change record is needed for changes you will be doing during that window.
