Why Can’t I Dial In to a Microsoft Teams Meeting?

Environment

U-M Microsoft Teams

Issue

I want to call in to a Microsoft Teams meeting, but there is not a number in the invitation or a meeting ID to enter when dialing the number to connect. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Resolution

Only meetings hosted by someone with an audio conferencing license will allow for participants to dial in. If you do not have a number with which to dial in or a meeting ID to enter, it is likely that the host does not have this licensing. They may apply for the license if they are part of U-M.
