Issue

When working in eResearch systems, questions may arise that are policy-related - such as questions on application content or how to answer a question.

Resolution

IRB Policy Questions

• Policy questions include research standards and what is possible or allowed.
• Policy questions should be sent to the appropriate U-M Institutional Review Board (IRB) office – for their assessment and consideration. 

Technical Questions

• Technical questions are about using the eResearch tool and how to add and remove items, or move studies forward for approval.
• Technical questions are directed to ITS through eResearch online help requests (Contact Us page on the ITS eResearch website) or sent directly to the ITS Service Center.
