MiVideo: Why Do I See A Message About The Player Being Deleted In December?

Issue

The player displays a blue control bar. At the end of the video is the following message:

NOTICE: This video player will be deleted on Thurs, Dec 19, 2024. Please re-embed your media now.

These players will not be upgraded and will be deleted on December 19, 2024.

Instructors must re-embed the video using the new player or the video will no longer play on this date.

Re-embed Video

Re-embedding a video will generate new embed code that uses the new MiVideo player.

1. Edit the page/assignment/quiz and delete the video.
2. In the Text Editor, select the MiVideo icon in the second row of toolbar buttons. If you do not see the MiVideo icon, click the triple dots icon.
3. Locate the video and embed (the new embed code will contain the proper dimensions for the new player).
4. Save
