View or Pay Student Bills with Friend Account for Parents/Family

Issue

How do parents and family with Friend Accounts view their student's online bills?

Resolution

1. Navigate to Wolverine Access at wolverineaccess.umich.edu.
2. Select the Parents & Family collection under the Campus Collections section.
3. Select the My Student's Information option under Links/Pages.
4. Authenticate with your U-M Friend Account email address and the password you created.
   • If the password is unknown, a password reset can be requested at the Friend Account Password Reset page.
5. Your student's Account Balance will be displayed on the page.
   • NOTE: If multiple students have authorized this email address, the drop-down menu at the top of the page will allow you to switch to a different student.
6. Click Account Inquiry for more options.
   • The History tab should provide a breakdown of charges.
7. If there are charges to pay, a Pay Now option should be available towards the bottom.

• U-M Friend accounts and non-student uniqname accounts cannot access the View/Pay My Student Account or Student Business options on Wolverine Access.
  • Only student uniqname accounts have access to those options.
