TDX Admins: Changing a TDX Service Name

Issue

Admins need to be able to change the name of a service to meet the naming requirements.

Resolution

The Service Naming Convention

TDX Services must adhere to the Service Naming Convention as follows:

AppName-Service Name

For example, ITS-TeamDynamix or LSA-Service Monitoring

To change the name of a service:

  1. In the Client Portal, choose Admin in the drop-down under your name in the upper-right corner
  2. Click Service Catalog and then Services
  3. Click to open the Service that requires a name change
  4. Click Edit
  5. Make the changes and click Save

Additional Information

Changing a Service Name has no impact on reporting, assignments, or any other TDX functions. TDX uses an ID number for each Service, this allows the name to change, but because the ID # is always the same, forms, services, reports, links, etc, are not impacted in any way.
