MiVideo: Add Collaborators to Videos in Bulk

Issue

Is there a way to add collaborators to videos in bulk?

Resolution

There is no method in either Canvas or Mediaspace that will allow end users of those systems to add collaborators to their MiVideo content in bulk. Assigning collaboration roles to multiple videos will need to be done on an individual basis by editing each video and selecting the Collaboration tab on the Edit Media page. See the Media Collaboration and Roles article. 

The ITS-MiVideo team (or any KMC admin) can add/remove collaborators for multiple videos at the request of the owner but will only entertain requests that involve a large number of videos.

To send a request to ITS-MiVideo contact the ITS Service Center. Please supply the following:

• uniqname of the media owner
• uniqnames of the new collaborators
• what collaboration role to provide these collaborators (co-editor, co-publisher, or both)
• how to filter the videos (for example the course ID of the Canvas course or the name of a Mediaspace channel)
