Sign in with SSO in Zoom

Issue

Issue when joining a meeting: "This meeting is for authorized attendees only"

Resolution

This message appears when the host of the meeting has required authentication for all participants. This means that you need to be signed into your U-M Zoom account.

To make sure you are signed in correctly, complete the following steps.

Web Browser

  1. Go to zoom.umich.edu
  2. Click "Sign In" and you will be taken through the SSO process

Desktop or Mobile App

  1. Click Sign In
  2. Click SSO
  3. Enter "umich" as your company domain
  4. The app will then take you to a browser window to complete your SSO login process. You may need to click "Open Zoom Meetings" to get redirected back/update Zoom.

Note: If you enter umich.edu, you will receive an error.
