Managing Microsoft Edge Extensions

Microsoft Edge web browser

Issue

I need to manage my Microsoft Edge extensions but am unsure how to view, enable, disable, or remove them.

Resolution

You can get to the Microsoft Edge extensions management page by:

  • Cutting and pasting the following into a Microsoft Edge browser: edge://extensions/
  • Clicking the puzzle piece icon in to top-right and selecting "Manage extensions"
  • Or
    1. Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
    2. At the top right, click the three-dot menu (i.e., ellipsis) to open the Settings and more menu. 
    3. Hover over Extensions.
    4. Select "Manage extensions".

Disable an extension

  • Click the toggle button to the right of the extension's name.
  • This will leave the extensions installed, but will prevent it from running in Microsoft Edge.

Delete an extension

  • Click "Remove" under the extension's name.
  • This will completely remove the extension in Microsoft Edge.

The "Details" button will provide more information and settings specific to the extension.
