Okta Verify Push Notification Delays and Failures

Okta Verify App for iOS or Android

Michigan Medicine customers who need assistance with Okta must contact HITS.

Issue

  • Not receiving push
  • Push is significantly delayed
  • Push fails after approval

Resolution

Is your UMICH account shown in the Okta Verify app? 

Try using the "Enter a Code" option while troubleshooting push

  1. On the authentication screen, select "Verify with Something Else".
  2. Choose "Enter a Code".
  3. Open the Okta Verify app and enter one of the codes shown for your UMICH account.
