Issue
Documents sent to Fiery-equipped Xeroxes do not print duplex or simplex as desired by the user.
Resolution
Fiery controllers tend to disregard duplex settings within an application. You must select the appropriate duplex option within the Fiery driver settings. The setting can be accessed as described below:
Windows
- From within the application, open the print prompt (Control + P for most applications) and select Printer properties.
- Duplex may appear in Quick Actions. You can change the setting in Quick Actions. If the setting does not appear in Quick Actions, continue to the next step.
- Click the Layout tab (fourth from the left). Duplex should appear in the top left of the main window.
macOS
- From within the application, open the print prompt (Command + P for most applications).
- Scroll to Printer Options.
- Click the icon next to Fiery Features.
- Duplex may appear in Quick Actions. You can change the setting here. If it does not, continue to the next step.
- If duplex does not appear in quick actions, click "Full Properties..."
- In the pop-up box, select the Layout tab (third icon from the top).
- The duplex option should appear in the center.
*Note (Windows and macOS): You can add Duplex or other options that do not appear by default to Quick Actions. Click the Customize button. In the pop-up, select Layout. Click the duplex option and click the 'Add' button, then click OK.
