TeamDynamix ITS Ticketing Application Reporting
Issue
How do I get more than 500 results in a TeamDynamix report?
Resolution
TeamDynamix Reports limit number of tickets or articles returned in a report to 500, when distinct values like ticket number are included. To successfully report counts of tickets over 500, don't include those distinct values, but do include field called "ticket count" or for knowledge "article count'.
- Select "Ticket Count" as a 'column you would like to see' do NOT select any columns that could be unique on every single ticket such as ID (Ticket Number), Description or Created (Date/time).
- For Knowledge articles, select 'Article Count' as a 'column you would like to see."
- For Assets/Product Models/Product Types, etc, select "Asset Count"

When building reports using the custom report builder page, many people want to make a report which is a count of items by some sort of common field(s). For instance, you might want to see [Item]s By Type or [Item]s By Creator. This is a fairly simple report to build.
Each report source has an [Item] Count field which is selectable. For instance, this might be Ticket Count. All you would need to do is to select the fields you want to see counts grouped by as well as the count field. For instance, to create a report of ticket count by type and account, you would select the following fields:
- Type
- Acct/Dept
- Ticket Count
This would show counts based upon unique combinations of both Type and Acct/Dept. You could add or remove fields used in conjunction with the count field depending on your reporting needs.
The main thing to remember is that for a count report to work, you cannot include a field whose value will be unique on every single item. If you do, you will see a row for every item and a count of 1. Item ID, for example, would not be a good field to include in a count report as is always unique.
Report Charts
Charts do not group the data chosen for name/value differently than the actual report data table. The charts really only work well for a two column approach. If three or more columns are selected in your report, the charts may show duplicated data.
