Apply online for University of Michigan jobs if you are not already regular U-M Staff

Resolution

Registration is required for external applicants (includes Alumni, Retirees, U-M Temporary Staff, and Students).

• Click the Apply Now button from any job posting - OR -
• Click the Login link from the main page of the site (careers.umich.edu).
  1. Choose External Applicant.
     • Note: U-M Temporary Employee link is the same as the External Applicant link.
  2. Click New User if you have not already registered.
  3. Complete the requested information.

Note: the careers site external applicant new user account is NOT the same as a Friend Account. 

Reset your external password

Click "Forgot User Name" or "Forgot Password" and follow the prompts.

• You will receive your password reset information in the email address you set up at registration.
  • Passwords are case sensitive.
  • Passwords cannot be retrieved by contacting the ITS Service Center.
