Changing/resetting Friend Account password

Resolution

Steps to Resetting Your Friend Account

1. Navigate to https://friend.weblogin.umich.edu/friend/account/ to initiate the friend account password reset.
2. On that page enter your email address/friend login ID to request a password reset.
3. An email will be sent to the email that you input. Log into the email, and look for an email with the subject U-M: Password Reset.
4. Click on the "Reset Friend Password" in the email which will then redirect you to reset the password.
5. On this new page, type in your email address/friend login ID.
6. Type in a new password (must be at least six characters with a mix of upper and lower case with a number or punctuation mark).
7. Confirm the new password.

Note: The link will expire within 24 hours.

Additional Information

Note: You can not reset a Friend Account password if the email address you initially set up is no longer valid or you can not access it. You would need to create a new Friend Account with a valid email address.
