Issue
The 'Marital Status' listed on paystubs/paychecks is incorrect.
Resolution
The 'Marital Status' is based on the information submitted on the W-4 Federal Tax Information form.
- To review and make changes, employees can go to Wolverine Access > Faculty & Staff Collection > Employee Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > W-4 Federal Tax Information > Filing Status - make sure to Submit any changes.
Additional Information
An employee cannot update their Federal W-4 information using the web if the employee is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. In such cases, the employee must fax or mail the IRS hardcopy Federal W-4 Form to the Payroll office. For more information visit this link: Finance | Federal W-4 Form & Instructions
