Logging In to Campus Computing Site Macs

Issue

How to login to a Mac computer in a Campus Computing Site, "Please wait..." screen is preventing a user from logging into a Sites Mac 

Resolution

Note: Occasionally the Macs will display a bland "Please wait" screen and there is a refresh button at the bottom that will dispel it.

When logging into a Mac computer at a campus computing site there are two possible login screens that can appear. The correct way to login to a Mac computer is as follows:

  1. Use the login window that says Microsoft 365 on the top of the login window
  2. Enter your full uniqname@umich.edu email address
  3. Use your UMICH (Level-1) password
  4. If the you see a different login screen, with a colorful flag photo background, you can use the switch login button at the bottom of the screen to get to the correct login page.

If you try to login from the wrong screen or do not use your full email address, including @umich.edu, you will be denied access.
