How do I publish lecture recordings?

If your Lecture Recordings are not set to publish automatically, you will need to publish them manually before students can view them.

To publish your lecture recordings, follow these steps: 

  1. Go to the CAEN Lecture Recording Management Website (
  2. Click the Manage Recordings option for the course site that has recordings you want to publish. This will open a page with all of the recordings that have been made in the site so far, regardless of their availability to viewers.
  3. Click on the cloud icon associated with any recording, and then adjust the publish status as desired:
    • If the cloud is grey with an x inside, the recording is unpublished
    • If the cloud is green with a check mark, the recording is set to publish and anyone with approved access to that link can see the recordings.
    • You may also schedule a recording to be published (and/or unpublished) at a specified date and time in the future. Recordings can also be set to unpublish after a specified date.
  4. Click the Update button to save changes.

Note: Recordings must be published in order to be viewed. When publishing, please allow at least 20 minutes for the recording to process before letting your students know it is available.
