How do I manually create a Lecture Recording?

To manually create (i.e., start/stop) a Lecture Recording, follow these steps:

1. Log into the CAEN Lecture Recording Management site (https://leccap.engin.umich.edu/leccap/manage/site).
2. Locate the site that you would like to create a new recording for, and click Create Recording.

Note: If your class meets in multiple spaces, you will be prompted to select a room from the drop-down menu.

3. Click Connect to the capture system.
4. Click the Start Recording button (circle) to begin recording.
5. Click the Stop Recording button (square) to stop the recording.

Note: There are additional ways to start/stop recordings:

• Within CoE classrooms on North Campus, Lecture Recording controls are directly accessible via the touch panel screens.
• For any classroom using the Lecture Recording system, the M-Cam mobile app can be downloaded and used to control classroom recordings.
