WSL stands for “Windows Subsystem for Linux.” It is an advantageous way to run a Linux environment on a Windows system without having to boot out of Windows.
WSL is capable of running many different Linux based operating systems, but we only support the usage of a CAEN-specific RHEL instance of WSL running on a computer running the CAEN Lab Software Environment (CLSE).
