Although the casing and button placement are identical, these two Epson projector remotes are differently programmed and marked accordingly. The one on the right is older and less likely to communicate with Epson projectors currently used in classrooms and conference rooms. When technicians answer a call for assistance with a projection issue, the one on the left is more likely to serve as a functioning “universal” Epson remote. Look for the blue button.
These long body remotes share some of the same features, with buttons differently placed on the top half, above the wheel. Again, the orange button indicates an earlier vintage remote which is less likely to function properly (or at all) with newer model Epson projectors.
Note that we now have separate bins in AH G197 for Projector and DVD/Blu-ray remotes. Including a small number of earlier models to help with requests for service with vintage equipment.
