Move Content from U-M Managed Atlassian Account to Personal Account

Issue

I use my UMICH email address to log into Atlassian and do not want to have my products in the UMICH-verified domain. How do I move my content?

Resolution

Before April 28, 2023, users simply need to change the email address associated with their Atlassian ID and that account will not be added to the UMICH verified domain. 

After April 28, 2023,  if you are a user and not an owner of an Atlassian product, you can ask the owner to invite your non-UMICH email address, and remove your umich.edu email address. Alternatively, if you are the sole owner (account holder) of the product, contact Atlassian support to request a transfer of the contents of the U-M account to a new personal account. Contact Atlassian support to transfer services or open up a support ticket.
