Issue
When scheduling a meeting in the U-M (not Michigan Medicine) instance of Microsoft Teams through Google Calendar, it is not possible to enable the language interpretation feature because it requires scheduling the meeting through Outlook. What are my options?
Resolution
Microsoft has confirmed that the language interpretation feature for Microsoft Teams meetings is not currently available for the U-M instance of Teams because it requires Outlook, which is disabled. There is no indication that Microsoft is planning to change this at this time.
If you require use of real-time language interpreters in your video conferencing session, we suggest using Zoom. Learn more about using Zoom's interpreter feature
