Issue

How to build a MiWorkspace device without a built-in Ethernet port.

Resolution

If the device you're imaging doesn't have a built-in Ethernet port, you'll need to use a USB Ethernet adapter to connect it to the network.  

MiWorkspace validates and guarantees the following models of adapter:

  • Dell Adapter- USB-C to Ethernet - USB Type C

Other adapters may work, but they are not supported. In particular, HP adapters have been known to change the underlying hardware without notice. We do not recommend or support building with a dock, as they can cause imaging to fail.
