Issue
The trackpad suddenly stops and gives no indication of why it isn't working correctly.
Resolution
Dell driver updates sometimes install entirely silently behind the scenes. On occasion, you might be in the middle of using a peripheral device (USB keyboards, mice, trackpad) when its driver is installed, which can stop the operation of that device.
- Rebooting the computer will usually fix the problem.
