Issue
How should I log into ChromeOS, or with a Chromebook?
Resolution
- We recommend you log in to ChromeOS devices (like a Chromebook) with a personal account, and not your U-M Google (umich.edu) account.
- You cannot use a PIN to login with a Chromebook, if using a U-M Google account.
- U-M Google accounts do not have Wallet enabled, so you cannot access the Play Store and apps, even if they are free.
- If you login with a personal account onto the device, you can open a Gmail webpage and switch that page to your U-M Google mail account.
