FDA-regulated SignNow for U-M staff, faculty, researchers, and students associated with all University of Michigan campuses
Issue
Michigan Medicine users are unable to sign FDA-regulated documents that were sent to their @med.umich.edu email address.
Resolution
Invitations to sign or complete a document within SignNow need to be sent to a user's UMICH @umich.edu email address and not their Michigan Medicine @med.umich.edu email address. This is due to the login requirement for signers when completing FDA-regulated documents in SignNow. If you need U-M staff, faculty, or students to sign your documents, please send the invite to their @umich.edu email and not any other umich extensions (such as @med.umich.edu) to ensure they are able to view and sign the document without issue.
Additional Information
The FDA-regulated version of SignNow requires users to first log into SignNow before they are able to view/sign the document. UMICH users are only able to log into SignNow with their UMICH @umich.edu email address. Therefore, any invites to sign need to be sent to that address to ensure SignNow recognizes that the person logging in matches the person that was sent the invite.
